US flexible packaging manufacturer ProAmpac has completed the acquisition of Wisconsin-based PolyFirst Packaging.
Polyfirst focuses on the production of printed and customised roll stock, as well as multiple types of plastic pouches and bags.
Established in 1999, PolyFirst Packaging was initially known as Advanced Bag.
The acquisition, completed at an undisclosed amount, is expected to strengthen ProAmpac’s existing flexible packaging product portfolio.
PolyFirst Packaging will now operate as a part of the US Flexibles Division, while the company’s former CEO Steve Randazzo will lead operations at both PolyFirst facilities at Hartford in Wisconsin and Aurora in Illinois.
ProAmpac CEO Greg Tucker said: “The acquisition of PolyFirst provides us with cold-seal capabilities and several new bag and pouch formats.
