Spectra Packaging has installed new injection stretch blow moulding machinery at its facility in Suffolk, UK, to meet growing customer demand for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) products.

The new machine is the second unit installed by the company in 2016, with plans to add more in future.

The investment has been followed by recent expansion initiatives carried out across Spectra.

As part of the expansion, the company has installed new blow moulding machines and tooling equipment, as well as made an additional investment in its decoration department.

Spectra managing director Joe Maynard said: "We have seen significant increases in extrusion blow moulding, injection stretch blow moulding and injection moulding projects of late meaning the factory is working flat out to meet demand.

"Our responsibility is to our customers to deliver on schedule, which is why we have installed extra machines to fulfil obligations to them."
