US-based packaging firm NJM Packaging has launched the new UNISORT 32 bottle unscrambler, intended for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturers, food processors and contract packers.
With its advanced design, the bottle unscrambler eases maintenance, improves ergonomics and speeds changeovers.
UNISORT 32 is made of stainless steel and orients and feeds plastic bottles, which are round, rectangular or square, from 1.5in to 7.5in in height and 0.75in to 4in in diameter.
Based on 100cc bottles, the unscrambler has a throughput of around 160 bottles per minute.
It integrates seamlessly with NJM’s Cremer CF-622 tablet counter and other machinery.
Equipped with a vertical elevator, the new unscrambler offers a compact footprint that is 105in-long and 56in-wide.
It also has an infeed hopper, enabling easy installation in tight production areas.
The UNISORT 32 includes an automatic bottle evacuation at the exit belt, which allows an operator to clear bottles from the drawer before the next run.
This tool-less changeover needs only one segmented change part and can be completed within five minutes.
The machine functions are controlled by an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1100 programmable controller and the Allen-Bradley PanelView C400 colour touchscreen offers a simple user interface.
NJM offers packaging services to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, beverage, chemicals, cosmetic and personal care product manufacturers, as well as contract manufacturers.
