Brand enhancement specialist API has supplied its TA cold foil to label print company Olympus Print Group.
When applied to gold and silver polypropene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) substrates on the Olympus digital converting line, the foil has increased application speeds to nearly 25m-30m per minute.
Olympus Group business improvement manager Steve Makin said: “The TA foil from API has enabled us to increase our output by over 50%, which is fantastic.
“Not only has it helped our efficiencies, it has also significantly improved the quality of our final product.”
Olympus Print Group evaluated various foil providers and types before selecting the foil from API, which was claimed to deliver impressive results.
API account manager Phil Clarkson said: “When we talked to Steve about the machine speed he was getting with his previous cold foil, we were confident that, with the technical support we offer, we could help him achieve vastly superior results.
