Pro Mach brand Ossid has unveiled a new thermo form-fill-seal machine which has the capacity to produce flexible, foil-foil, semi-rigid, rigid, ambient, vacuum, modified atmosphere, and reclosable package types.
Designed to deliver up to 20 cycles per minute, the new 8000S machine is suitable for medium to high production environments.

The horizontally oriented machine can accommodate 3in and 6in cores for the dual supply mandrels, contributing to its flexibility. It can also run a range of packaging materials.
The 8000S features servo control on the drive chain and forming and sealing presses for precise, repeatable motion actuation.
With a maximum web width of 20in, the machine has an index length of 18, which contributes to its medium to high production rating.
It has a control system that is based on the Allen-Bradley PLCs.
The machine’s dual unwind stand comes standard with automatic edge guide for the bottom web, ensuring smooth operation and low operator involvement.
The HMI is loaded with features aimed at making changeover fast and accurate, providing relevant production information to the management. This ensures that personnel have the required information for trouble shooting as well as ongoing support.
