Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) has acquired Columbus Container, a US-based independent corrugated products manufacturer.

The cash-free and debt-free transaction is valued at $100m.

Under the acquisition, PCA has purchased Columbus Container’s full-line corrugated products facility in Columbus, Indiana, as well as five warehousing facilities and related operations located in Indiana and Illinois, US.

Packaging Corporation of America chairman and CEO Mark Kowlzan said: “Completing the acquisition of Columbus Container is another excellent strategic fit for PCA and we expect to quickly integrate this great organisation into our company.”
