Finland-based food packaging service provider Huhtamaki has revealed plans to integrate its two business segments, Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania and Fiber Packaging.
The integration is in line with the company’s renewed strategy and is expected to enable the company to obtain more growth opportunities.
It will also enhance customers’ access to its technologies, such as moulded fibre and paperboard forming.
As part of this, Eric Le Lay will serve as president for the combined segment. It will become effective from 1 June 2020.
The segments will report separately for the rest of the fiscal year.
Huhtamaki will concentrate on enhancing operational performance, process performance, and digitalisation.

According to Huhtamaki’s new 2030 sustainability ambitions, over 80% of raw materials will be either renewable or recycled.
While 100% of its products will be made recyclable, compostable or reusable, it has plans to use 100% fibre from recycled or certified sources.
