Paperboard packaging supplier PaperWorks has opened the Packaging Development (PacDev) Design + Innovation Centre in Ontario, Canada.
The facility is located at the company’s PaperWorks Kitchener and will serve as a hub, enabling customers and guests to work together with the PacDev team to bring new packaging ideas to life.
PaperWorks packaging development and support services vice-president Peter Jesus said: “We created a dedicated collaboration space for our customers that is supported by our team of experts and packaging innovators, and conducive to inspiration and problem-solving.”
The facility will create an environment to support creative and technical process, feature design and technical professionals, and a customer collaboration centre with support from virtual teams.
It also features a dedicated space integrated with prepress, colour management, and quality lab, which is a resource library featuring samples of materials, finishes, and packaging formats, advanced development software platform and tools, as well as physical prototyping and interactive virtual retail environment simulation.
Jesus added: “This new addition to our capabilities demonstrates our commitment to revolutionary packaging design and embodies our purpose of delivering positive experiences and innovative solutions.
