Global temperature-controlled packaging solutions provider Pelican BioThermal has introduced a new Series 22 Universal system for its Credo brand of shippers.

Pelican BioThermal’s Series 22 Universal is one of its two options for the company’s controlled room temperature (CRT) cold chain packaging and designed to address the challenges of managing CRT thermal requirements in pharmaceutical distribution.

The Series 22 Universal uses a dual phase change material (PCM) coolant system, which is designed to be operational throughout the year and at any temperature.

The system also uses two variants of PCM to maintain a CRT payload space between 15°C to 25°C, offering hot and cold protection throughout the Credo shipper’s journey.

“It offers operational ease-of-use year round and high-performance in any thermal conditions.”

Pelican BioThermal sales vice-president Kevin Lawler said: “Our Series 22 Universal, for Credo shippers, offers simplicity in managing CRT shipments.

“It offers operational ease-of-use year round and high-performance in any thermal conditions.”

Apart from the Series 22 Universal system, Pelican BioThermal offers Series 22 Controlled as another CRT option.

The Series 22 Controlled has been integrated with a single-phase point for controlled shipping lanes where temperatures are well-known along the journey.

Both systems can be used with Pelican BioThermal’s full range of sizes and durations for the Credo Cube line of reusable and thermal shippers.

Pelican BioThermal has displayed both the systems at the ongoing Temperature Controlled Logistics Biopharmaceuticals USA event in Princeton, New Jersey, US.
