Pester pac automation has incorporated Solutum Technologies’ film into its processing portfolio, marking an advancement in environmentally friendly packaging solutions.
The collaboration enables the use of Solutum’s sustainable film material on Pester’s stretch wrapping machines and full overwrapping systems, providing an alternative to traditional film materials.
The film is fully biodegradable in various environments such as soil and water without leaving harmful microplastics.
Its tear strength also allows for reduced material thickness, leading to significant material savings.
The film is claimed to be compatible with existing Pester systems, making it easier to integrate into current production processes and thereby enhancing cost-efficiency.
According to Solutum, local production of its newly developed packaging material is feasible using existing extruders, supporting regional economies and reducing transport emissions.
