Folding carton supplier rlc | packaging has secured a contract to produce boxes for the Swiss chocolate brand Cailler.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will produce eight new boxes for the brand, which is part of the Nestlé portfolio.
Designed with UV printing inks, the box will feature various finishes, including hot-foil printing in embossed or glossy gold.
rlc European Confectionery key account manager Klaus Volgmann said: "As engineering partner, we worked in close cooperation with Nestlé for about six months. We conducted multiple trials with different materials to come up with the best, truly unique solutions.
"The packaging itself, as well as the choice of finishing, ensure a level of quality that is not adversely affected during the packing process or shipping."
Designed by artist Marianne Dubuis, the new pack will feature motifs such as grazing dairy cows and a view of Cailler’s company headquarters.
The new design will also include the company logo in hot-foil embossed gold.
rlc | packaging employs 1,250 people and operates eight highly specialised sites in Germany, Switzerland and Poland. The company supplies folding carton solutions to the beauty, pharmaceutical, food and luxury goods sectors.
