Pharmaceutical packaging company Rondo is set to showcase its new supply chain solution for use in small-sized secondary packaging applications at the upcoming Interpack 2017 event.

The new solution, Supply on Demand, enables the supply of small deliveries in less than one week.

Developed for the pharmaceutical sector, the solution also allows the efficient delivery of new serialised and personalised medicine, as well as several active agents.

According to Rondo, the recent focus on creating solutions for different countries has led to growing activities in the secondary packaging sector for various pharma products.

It has also led to the reduced size of consignments of prescription medicines, including pharma original products and generics, the company stated.

“Rondo’s new Supply on Demand solution is said to enable customers to substantially reduce turn-around times for orders and re-procurement costs for customers."

Rondo’s new Supply on Demand solution is said to enable customers to substantially reduce turn-around times for orders and re-procurement costs for customers.

Unlike traditional processes that combine several requirements into one, the solution enables the processing of individual orders as and when they are required.

The company has also used new technologies in printing and processing to cut down on set-up times and reduce waste.

Furthermore, Rondo has provided a new solution that prints batch numbers and expiry dates directly on ordered boxes.
