US-based food company Rosina Food Products has introduced new packaging for its meatball products.

Highlighting the brand, the new packaging features product photos, along with key style and flavour information.

All the products are colour-coded with a more prominent display that will enable the customers to easily make their selection.

The packaging also features an ‘Oven-Baked Goodness’ expression to encourage the customers to choose a healthier alternative to fried products.

"The introduction of our new packaging will improve consumer engagement with our products and our brand."

Rosina Food Products marketing director Chris Tirone said: “We're confident the new packaging better reflects the quality of the Rosina brand.

“Our new packaging design will clearly identify our brand and make it easier for consumers to select their favourite styles and flavours in the freezer section at retail.

“Data from our extensive research confirmed that our new product photography on packaging more accurately reflects Rosina's delicious, high-quality meatballs.”

The new packaging was introduced in retail stores from the beginning of this month.

Rosina Food Products retail sales and marketing vice-president Tom Finn said: “Based on research and consumer insights, the introduction of our new packaging will improve consumer engagement with our products and our brand.

“The new packaging will also benefit our retail partners, who understand and appreciate that better packaging can help increase sales.”

The company conducted extensive sensory testing against a similar product at a research university before the introduction of the new Rosina meatballs.
