RPC Barrier Containers will supply new casserole-styled thermoformed barrier plastic tray for French ready meal producer Gendreau Group and its subsidiary VIF.
Produced in multilayer PP/EVOH/PP structure, the dual-coloured trays will provide the products an extended ambient shelf life of 12 months.
The trays have a capacity of 350g to provide a larger family-size portion.
RPC Bebo Plastik has developed the new trays in partnership with the Gendreau development and marketing teams.
A total of €100,000 has been invested in the development of this project.
RPC Barrier Containers area sales manager Nicolas Grange said: "The containers are a very good example of the innovative styles of plastic packaging that can be created for brand owners to enable products to have stand-out appeal on shelf."
