US honey specialist Savannah Bee has adopted Geami’s GreenWrap protective paper packaging in a bid to reduce shipping damage and save storage space.

The company found that it was difficult to keep foam packing peanuts below heavy items during shipment, as these would shift, resulting in damage claims.

The adoption of eco-friendly protective packaging on stackable pallets has also reduced storage space by a ratio of 15:1.

The new packaging has also enabled Savannah Bee to improve efficiency by reducing the time spent packing each box.

Savannah Bee retail inventory manager Jay Randall said that GreenWrap protects the company’s products well during shipment.

"Choosing a sustainable packaging solution made sense, since Savannah Bee embraces sustainability initiatives and our products are either organic or contain natural ingredients," Randall added.
