MediPharm has expanded its product range with the launch of a tamper-proof closure sealing solution that is designed for folding cartons and wallets.
Known as Multi-Tear Closure Label, the German company’s transparent product combines the security mechanism effects film-tear and fibre-tear.
The pharmaceutical label provider integrated the effects to prevent the undetected opening of pharmaceutical packaging.
When an attempt to unnoticeably peel off the seal is made, the film-tear effect destroys the film while the fibre-tear feature causes the cardboard surface to tear, preventing the label from being completely removed and providing clear evidence of tampering.
Schreiner MediPharm US president Gene Dul said: “The Multi-Tear Closure Label promotes protection and efficacy of pharmaceuticals via an innovative system of double tamper protection mechanisms.
“In addition to compatibility with a variety of substrates, the solution functions in compliance with the EU Falsified Medicines Directive and other regulations promoting product and patient safety.”
