Japanese contract packaging company Cosmo Foods is set to add carton packs to its portfolio by installing SIG’s high-speed combismile filling machine at its plant in Komono.
The company is the first in Japan to use the technology and aims to help brand owners to respond to changing market needs.
SIG said that customer demand for convenient single-serve packs for the mobile consumption of healthy and quality beverages continues to increase in Japan.
The combismile carton pack is created using paperboard made of pulp from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified sources.
It features a leak-proof and tamper-evident single action closure.
The packaging’s curved corners are designed to make it more convenient for mobile consumers by being easier to grip.
