Wine Pouch

Paper-made packaging products manufacturer Smurfit Kappa has introduced new packaging for its Pouch-Up brand of wine pouches.

The company says that it has developed economical, convenient and environmentally friendly packaging for wine. The lightweight Pouch-Up is unbreakable and easier to use, carry, store, and dispose of than glass and PET bottle packaging. It also has a lower carbon footprint.

The pouches are made from quadruplex aluminium films with high mechanical strength and a better oxygen barrier to preserve the liquid inside. Designed to bring a mix of tradition and modernity, it features a cylindrical shape with a double gusset.

A Vitop Original tap positioned on the outside of the pouch allows the wine to be easily poured and prevents air from entering into the packaging during dispensing. It is also designed to enable easily filling by automatic and semi-automatic machines without any need for adjustment.

With a network of 350 manufacturing sites in 32 countries, Smurfit Kappa offers products including corrugated paper, containerboard, packaging machinery, solid board sheets, sack kraft papers, and others.
