Sonoco Flexible Packaging, a division of Sonoco, a global packaging company, has recently been awarded an International Sustainability and Carbon Certification System (ISCC) PLUS certification.
This certification, granted by the ISCC, applies to the company’s EnviroFlex Recycled Content portfolio.
The award provides third-party validation of Sonoco’s resin-sourcing practices at its Morristown, US-based facility.
The certification is said to be a voluntary commitment that improves transparency and ensures the traceability of recycled material across the supply chain via a mass balance methodology.
Sonoco’s EnviroFlex Recycled Content line of packaging offers a range of custom barriers against oxygen, moisture, and grease, and is suitable for various applications.
The line aims to incorporate circular practices into flexible packaging without compromising performance and machinability.
