US-based printing inks and pigments producer Sun Chemical has collaborated with digital print applications provider T+ink to form new organisation T+sun.
The new organisation will be responsible for providing conductive ink solutions to packaging firms and managing inventory systems.
T+ink will make use of Sun Chemical’s global research and development, technical support, manufacturing infrastructure, supply chain, marketing and sales capacity.
The new organisation aims to provide Sun Chemical’s customers with a complete solution for packaging designs.
T+ink chief technology officer Terry Kaiserman said that the partnership will strive to make objects smart and interactive.
"T+sun will provide a fundamentally new way for brands to communicate, engage consumers, manage inventory and more. Conductive ink replaces RFID codes at a fraction of the cost and offers more security than QR codes," Kaiserman added.
