Tetra Pak has launched two new on-the-go portion packaging solutions, Tetra Prisma Aseptic 200 and 250 Edge with DreamCap 26, for the beverage industry.
Developed on the basis of Tetra Prisma Aseptic 330ml with DreamCap design, the new solutions offer smaller size options with re-sealable one-step closure for an optimised drinking experience to the consumers.
According to Roper Reports Worldwide 2015 analysis, more than 40% of global consumers are snacking while on-the-go at least once a week, with fortified milk, drinking yoghurt and energy drinks among their favourite choices.
However, a portion size of 330ml is said to be too much for some consumers, which could lead to a potential increase in demand for portion packages under 250ml.
As per Tetra Pak studies, the global portion package market is estimated to grow to 72 billion litres by 2019, up 10% from current volumes.
Tetra Pak product management and commercial operations executive vice-president Charles Brand said: “Our customers need packaging solutions that can help them capture opportunities and maximise growth.
“Bringing two new packages to join the highly successful Tetra Prisma Aseptic 330ml DreamCap is our latest answer to help them exploit the huge potential of the on-the-go market.”
Since their launch, the Prisma Aseptic 200 and 250 Edge with DreamCap 26 have been selected by more than 100 customers and over 340 brands.
In December 2016, Tetra Pak announced the launch of a new version of its Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 Edge with Bio-based LightCap 30.
The aseptic carton package features a bio-based plastic film and cap, made from polymers derived from sugar cane.
