Canada-based plastic injection moulding firm The Quality Model Group (The QM Group) is set to invest $9.5m to expand its Orangeburg County plastic injection moulding operations in the US.
A total of 37 jobs will be created in the region through the investment.
The facility is located at 190 Global Drive in Orangeburg, South Carolina, US. It is being operated under the group’s plastics division.
The moulding facility has seen an investment of more than $16m and created 100 new jobs over the years.
QM Group founder and owner Bill Szekesy said: “The QM Group is pleased to reaffirm, through this investment, our confidence in the Orangeburg community and in South Carolina for fostering the appropriate competitive advantages for our business.
“Our preference for this location has been established to the point where we have now designated it as our US operations headquarters. We are excited to be part of the growing community of businesses who are now calling South Carolina home.”
