US-based Barry-Wehmiller packaging equipment designer and manufacturer division Thiele Technologies has acquired the palletisers business of Symach in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.

Thiele’s seventh in nine years, the latest acquisition will help the company to expand its business globally by combining its weighing, bag filling and bag closing solutions with Symach’s palletising and load securing technology.

Within the rigid business segment, the company handles products packaged in cases and cartons, including bliss and tray equipment that are used in the produce industry.

Thiele’s flexible business segment provides bag handling solutions for products ranging from flour mixes to soil to pet food.
