US-based rigid packaging company TricorBraun has acquired British glass packaging provider Continental Bottle Company (CBC) and glass decorator DiBro.
The acquisitions are part of TricorBraun’s ongoing expansion within Europe.
The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
CBC provides primary glass packaging for companies of all sizes in the cosmetic and fragrance industries.
The company supplies an extensive range of more than 100 different styles of glass bottles both domestically and internationally.
DiBro is an affiliate of CBC and specialises in glass decoration for the spirits, wine, cosmetic and fragrance sectors.

Following the acquisition, TricorBraun will retain all CBC and DiBro’s team members and both companies will continue to operate from their existing locations.
CBC and DiBro will operate as separate, stand-alone businesses under the names Continental Bottle, a TricorBraun company, and DiBro, a TricorBraun company, with immediate effect.

Last month, TricorBraun agreed to acquire Australian packaging provider PB Packaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro-Pac Packaging.
PB Packaging supplies plastic and glass packaging for the health, industrial, food and automotive industries.
