Trinidad-based Blue Waters Products has selected Petainer’s petainerCooler containers to distribute its bulk water products.

As part of the collaboration, Petainer, along with Blue Waters, has also developed a water cooler manufacturing facility in Trinidad.

Situated at Blue Waters’ site in Trinidad, the facility uses a SIDE machine to blow petainerCooler performs, which will be filled in Trinidad and St Lucia.

Using the in-house two-stage manufacturing process, Blue Waters aims to maximise its cost savings and obtain supply chain benefits.

Petainer group business development director Chris McEwan said: “The collaboration with Blue Waters is an exciting development for Petainer and opens up a new market for our product.

“We have used our technical expertise and new product development support to support Blue Waters, and by doing so have brought the market-leading petainerCooler to the Caribbean market.

"This collaboration has created a platform for brand owners in the Caribbean and southern US market to access our product."

“Further, this collaboration has created a platform for brand owners in the Caribbean and southern US market to access our product, using Blue Waters as our operational base.”

The company also noted that its petainerCooler is a fully recyclable, reusable water cooler that offers improved durability and strength than other water coolers.

Made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), the bisphenol A (BPA)-free cooler is compatible with existing filling equipment and washing lines, and shrink-resistant in 63°C washing cycles.

Available with or without a handle, petainerCooler can incorporate tailored branding.
