UK-based Food netting company TruNet has procured Evolabel’s labelling equipment from Industrial Labelling Systems (ILS) to enhance productivity in the packing operation at its Ashby-de-la-Zouch facility in Leicestershire.
ILS is an exclusive UK and Ireland distributor of Evolabel’s Print & Apply Labelling Systems.
TruNet invested in the T43 Blow Vac Applicator with an integrated conveyor for labelling shrink-wrapped rolls of elastic meat netting.
The company’s Leicestershire facility also manufactures trussing loops, elastic and non-elastic twines used in food service and butchers.
As meat netting can be stored for long periods of time, it requires labels with good print qualities to ensure information is clearly visible.
As a result, the company chose the T43 Blow Vac that produces labels with ‘excellent’ readability of barcodes, while the applicator plate with integrated vacuum injectors and blow nozzle, allows high-precision labelling.

By GlobalDataTruNet factory manager Darren Pritchard said: “The exceptional print quality of the labels and reliability of the equipment are two of the stand-out features of the T43. We have a good relationship with ILS and I would certainly be open to tapping into their labelling expertise again.”
ILS has installed the T43 Blow Vac at TruNet’s factory, and also provided customer support.
Following the installation, the T43 Blow Vac is labelling 30 rolls of meat netting per minute and has caused an increased productivity and efficiency at the plant.
Established in 2002, ILS is a supplier of products, including automatic print and apply labellers, automated pallet labelling systems, outer case and tray labellers, labels, ink and ribbon, and inline barcode inspection/validation systems.
