US-based Crystal Geyser Water Company has introduced its Tejava range of unsweetened black tea in new polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic recyclable bottles.

Currently available in Northern California Costco locations in the US, the tea bottles are completely free from Bisphenol A (BPA) and designed for on-the-go customers.

Crystal Geyser Water Company marketing and innovation executive vice-president Judy Yee said: “One thing we know about Tejava customers, is that they are passionate about its bold, yet smooth taste.

"With this more portable, convenient option, Tejava can go everywhere our customers go—in the car, at school, sporting events or concerts."

“They enjoy drinking it at home or at work in glass bottles, but they also want to take it on-the-go.  With this more portable, convenient option, Tejava can go everywhere our customers go—in the car, at school, sporting events or concerts.

"The new plastic bottles are also perfect for places that don't allow glass bottles, such as pools and beaches.

“Our Tejava in PET bottles is brewed using the same process as our Tejava in glass containers.”

The company also noted that the newly launched Tejava tea will be available online at Amazon, as well as in cold boxes in grocery stores across the US.

Apart from the newly launched pack, Tejava tea will continue to be sold in traditional 12oz and 1l glass containers.
