US-based Sinclair & Rush division VisiPak has acquired National Plastics, a thermoform manufacturer focused on clamshell packaging and stocking programmes, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition has expanded VisiPak’s existing line of plastic thermoform packaging products and added new clamshell packaging with more than 140 different sizes and styles.
VisiPak will now offer a total of more than 170 clamshell packaging options, including blisters and trays.
Additionally, the company now has manufacturing locations in St. Louis, Missouri and Carlstadt, New Jersey in the US, as well as in the UK, China and Australia.
With the deal, VisiPak aims to expand its presence across North America.
Sinclair & Rush president and COO Brad Philip said: "This acquisition correlates directly with our long-term strategies regarding increased product offerings and market reach.
