Velcro Industries, a manufacturer and seller of fasteners and straps, is all set to introduce new packaging for its hook and loop fasteners.
With a new colour scheme, branding and logo, the simple and clean packaging layout has been designed with prominent colour coding to differentiate the company’s seven Velcro brand products developed for heavy-duty, garden and office solutions.
The new packaging features images of example uses, care instructions and a QR code that, when scanned, redirects to the product’s page on Velcro.com, enabling shoppers better understand the product application.
According to the company, a cut-out window is available for some of the packaging, allowing customers to feel the product and see its texture.
Velcro global marketing and innovation vice-president Jurjen Jacobs said the company has continued its innovative heritage, from its hook and loop technology, to the launch of the new packaging.
"As the final step in our rebranding effort, we re-imagined our visual representations to better communicate our focus as a lifestyle brand that answers consumer needs and contributes to their interests," Jacobs said.

By GlobalDataThe new consumer packaging is said to be the result of the company’s major rebranding effort that spanned for a period of two years.
Velcro began the process of upgrading and unifying its branded visual assets and logo in early 2012 in 90 nations where it distributes and sells its products.
Since then, the company has concluded various initiatives ranging from the newly designed Velcro.com to the creation of workshops in the US.
