UK-based canned wine company Vinca has rolled out its new range of organic wine from Italy in Ardagh Metal Packaging’s (AMP) aluminium cans.
This range is available in single-serve 187ml cans.
The designs for these wine cans were developed by Vinca’s team in close coordination with AMP’s graphics team, which is based in La Ciotat, France.
The combined team was responsible for colour selection, choosing half-tones, transitions, and text legibility for the cans.
Vinca and AMP’s teams also worked on the final high-speed production of the wine cans to ensure that the final cans could achieve the desired visual result.
After completion of the cans’ production, they were sent to packaging services provider Los Bucaneros to fill them with the wine, which has been made using grapes grown on the west coast of Sicily.

By GlobalDataFounded by Henry Blackmann, Los Bucaneros operates mobile and fixed canning lines in France and Iberia.
The can packaging company deploys a team of beverage experts who specialise in managing the entire canning process, which can also help customers analyse the product for optimising quality, both before and after packaging.
According to AMP, its wine cans are designed to meet the specific requirements of the wine market, including the need for single-serve formats to support a modern and sustainable ecosystem.
AMP’s aluminium cans are said to be lightweight, safe, and can be recycled infinitely.
In addition, the cans are airtight, which helps preserve the quality of the wine throughout the supply chain until the product is opened for consumption.
