Vision Paper and Board, a unit of Middleton Paper Group, will supply paper and board to Stora Enso Renewable Packaging for the manufacturing of the latter’s packaging grade Tamfold.
Tamfold, which is hard-sized and FSC-certified, is used in pharmaceutical, food and chocolate packaging.
It is suitable for digital printing, laser and inkjet coding, and Braille embossing, and is complaint with US and European direct food contact legislation, Packaging Waste directive, REACH, FSC Chain of Custody, PEFC Chain of Custody, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO22000 and OHSAS18001.
Tamfold is also particularly suitable for food service, such as clamshells used for fast-food packaging, as it contains no added optical brightening agents.
Vision Paper and Board commercial director Ian Pentland said: "Stora Enso has been a strategic partner for our group for many years and we are delighted to stock its Tamfold grade.
"Tamfold has a bulk-to-grammage ratio better than most rival grades, which enables us to offer huge yield advantages over competitor grades.
"Tamfold deliveries have already started to arrive at our conversion site in the West Midlands.
"We can service virtually all of our customer needs with a stock holding of both standard sizes and cutter reels for most bespoke requirements.
"This enables us to deliver any quantity from a packet to a full truck load.
"It is another element of our recently announced multimillion-pound investment plan, which includes new equipment, increased stockholding and a new fleet of vehicles."
Stora Enso UK and Ireland sales manager of the merchant and graphical boards Bob Swallow said: "Tamfold is a true all-rounder for packaging when product protection, performance and reliability are paramount.
"We are very pleased to make it available through the Middleton Paper Group, with the local stock that enables quick deliveries according to customers’ individual material demands."
Vision Paper and Board produces close to 85,000t of paper and board annually.
