German technology company Voith has successfully completed the upgrade of the PM 2 machine at Schumacher Packaging’s facility in Myszków, Poland.
This marks a significant step towards enhanced sustainability, efficiency, and capacity in the production of lightweight containerboard grades at Schumacher.
The company’s production line has undergone comprehensive modernisation by Voith, excluding a few existing components.
Voith said that the rebuild of the PM 2 machine was planned with consumer priorities in mind, thereby focusing on machine availability and process efficiency.
In 2018, Voith modernised the old corrugated container (OCC) stock preparation line at the same plant in Poland.
To complement the increased production capacity and further enhance plant efficiency, this OCC line has been expanded with additional technologies.
