Automation solutions provider Volm Companies has introduced two new packaging equipment services.

The company's Volm Equipment Service division has launched an initiative to provide preventative maintenance services and extend service contracts for parts and labour on its Volmpack product line.

Under its preventative maintenance plan, the company will provide its customers with a concise document detailing a comprehensive diagnosis of all equipment.

Volm Sales and Marketing vice-president Matt Alexanders said: “This document will help customers with safety records and allow them to know exactly the condition of their line going into peak season or off season.

“In addition to the preventative maintenance plans, we now offer extended service contracts to provide our customers an upfront cost of service for parts and labour beyond the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

“With these plans available at the time of purchase, equipment owners can eliminate the frustration of unplanned repair costs.”

To support the initiative, Volm Service team has also recruited additional field service support employees, including field service technicians and parts personnel.

Last month, Volm opened a new 90,000ft2 facility in Pasco, Washington, US.

The facility will be used as a warehouse space for inventory and manufacturing equipment, as well as provide additional office space.
