Packaging group Weener Plastics intends to take up a new corporate identity, relocate its headquarters and execute multiple name changes to strengthen its foothold in the global market.
Weener Plastics CEO Roel Zeevat said: "Today, WPPG is a market-leading global plastic packaging company offering innovative packaging to our customers from 24 operations in 16 countries.
"The clear positioning and name change better reflect our company’s current structure and increasingly diverse and widespread global activities."
The firm said it will be launching its new ‘Clear & Clean’ corporate identity in the first quarter of this fiscal year. The identity will be applicable for all Weener communications and at its facilities worldwide.
The unified company name and logo is expected to hold up the firm’s identity and direction and offer it the benefits of clarity, alignment and uniform market positioning.
Company headquarters will also be relocated to Ede, the Netherlands, from the existing site in Weener, Germany.
Corporate and supporting services offered by the firm will be centralised and managed from the new location, which is less than 100km from Amsterdam Airport and will help to build its international business.
Zeevat added: "The core of our strategy remains unaltered.
"Weener Group will continue to develop innovative products and processes, maintaining a global presence whilst offering a customer-oriented approach and consistently reliable service."
