Paper and packaging solutions provider Westrock Company has signed an agreement to purchase German leaflets and booklets supplier Schlüter Print Pharma Packaging.
Once the acquisition is completed, Schlüter will operate under WestRock’s Multi Packaging Solutions business.
WestRock Multi Packaging Solutions business president Marc Shore said: “Schlüter has an excellent reputation as a high-quality supplier to customers in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries, and this acquisition will enable us to build our business in these growing markets.
“It will also expand our geographical footprint to better serve customers throughout Europe.”
WestRock serves its customers through more than 300 manufacturing facilities, design centres, research labs, and sales offices located across North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Products offered by the company include folding cartons, paperboard, corrugated containers, and containerboard.

In January this year, WestRock entered an agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of corrugated packaging firm KapStone Paper and Packaging for a total enterprise value of around $4.9bn.
The same month, it completed the acquisition of Plymouth Packaging, a corrugated packaging firm that serves e-commerce and other custom-packaging applications.
