Logson

Belfast firm W&R Barnett has acquired a 60% stake in UK-based corrugated packaging supplier Logson Group.

Logson operates through its four brands, including Board24, Boxes and Packaging, Jardin Corrugated Cases and Cases24, and offers multiple corrugated packaging solutions across 17 locations in the country.

The group has an employee base of more than 850 people and generates more than £185m in annual sales volume.

Initially launched as a grain merchant, W&R Barnett has expanded its portfolio to emerge as a diversified group of international commodity trading and agribusiness companies.

The firms have yet not disclosed the financial terms of the transaction.

Earlier in the year, Logson had purchased Jardin Corrugated Cases, which functioned as an independent integrated facility in Ely, Cambridgeshire, UK.

In January, the firm acquired acquired business and trading assets of Scott Packaging under its Boxes and Packaging brand.
