Paper packaging manufacturer B&A Packaging India has announced an increase in net sales, reaching Rs344.66m ($4.1m) for the quarter ending 30 June 2024.
This marks a substantial rise from Rs311.2m in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The company’s paper sacks segment contributed Rs224.1m while the flexible laminates segment accounted for Rs120.4m of the total revenue.
Total income of B&A Packaging India for the quarter stood at Rs349.69m, compared to Rs314.9m in the same period in fiscal 2023.
Its earnings per share was Rs6.96 in June 2024 from Rs3.00 in June 2023.
Total expenses for the quarter were reported at Rs301.0m, an increase from Rs293.9m in the same quarter last year.
The profit before tax for B&A Packaging reached Rs48.6m during the quarter, more than double the Rs21.0m reported in the prior year's quarter.
The company's profit after tax also reflected strong growth, registering at Rs34.5m in June 2024, an increase from Rs14.9m in the same period a year earlier.
In the preceding quarter ending 31 March 2024, B&A Packaging's revenue was Rs288.3m.
The company’s profit for the quarter was Rs35.0m.
B&A Packaging manufactures paper sacks and flexible laminates in India. It serves a diverse range of markets including food, tea, mancozeb, chemicals, starch, and titanium dioxide.
The company boasts a production capacity of 1.5 million paper sacks and 180 tonnes (t) of laminate per month.
Additionally, with its own blown film unit, the company can produce an extra volume of 75t of three-layer film monthly.
