Global packaging company Berry Global, in collaboration with Norwegian brand Aquafigure, has introduced a new line of reusable water bottles.

The bottles feature a design for interchangeable, 3D bottle cards, to promote water consumption among young people.

The 330ml bottles are made from bisphenol A (BPA)-free Tritan, a recyclable, food-approved copolyester capable of withstanding hundreds of dishwasher cycles.

The cap is made from recyclable monomaterial polypropylene.

The bottle design enables Aquafigure’s range of patented polyethylene terephthalate bottle cards to be inserted and changed with evolving consumer tastes and trends.

Precise internal measurements ensure the bottle cards are self-supporting and remain in place regardless of angle.

The cards are available in more than 50 designs, including football clubs and characters such as the Smurfs, with a special edition featuring footballer Erling Haaland.

Berry Agile Solutions sales and marketing director Joe Horton said: “Through our innovation expertise and technical resources, we are delivering cutting-edge solutions that help our customers bring exciting, sustainable concepts to market.

“Aquafigure’s commitment to a reusable bottle highlights the endless possibilities to optimise the consumer experience while advancing a circular economy.”

Production of the bottles and caps is carried out at Berry's facilities in Etten Leur, Netherlands, and Market Rasen, England.

The teams ensured that the bottles provided a secure seal yet remained easy to open for children.

Aquafigure founder and managing director Ørjan Asbjørnsen said: “Berry Agile Solutions provided us with full-service, expert support from day one. And with the knowledge, expertise, and reach of a global market leader, we can be reassured of the capability to scale up as Aquafigure enters new territories.”

Since its launch in Norway in 2023, Aquafigure has become one of the fastest-selling brands in the refillable drink container market.

The company has expanded its product line to include prefilled bottles as well.

Last month, Berry Global partnered with Abel & Cole to launch sustainable bottles for its Club Zero Refillable Milk delivery service.
