At the upcoming CPHI India exhibition, Berry Global said it aims to emphasise its dedication to providing patient-centric packaging, dispensing solutions, and drug delivery devices for India and the broader South Asia region.

The company's exhibition stand will showcase its portfolio, featuring products ranging from bottles and caps to ophthalmic solutions, nasal and throat sprays, vials, dry powder inhalers, and pressurised metered dose inhalers.

Advanced solutions for enhanced usability and safety

Among the products to be displayed are Berry's latest advancements in usability and administration safety. The company will also unveil digitalisation for medical devices and primary packaging. The circular design will be presented as a sustainable approach within the pharmaceutical sector.

Berry operates over 25 healthcare-focused, ISCC PLUS-certified sites worldwide. This expansive network allows the company to provide comprehensive international and localised support to customers.

Ramprakash Rai, sales director at Berry Global, stated: “The Asia market is hugely important to Berry, as is evidenced by our ongoing investment in the region.”

“Our participation at CPHI India therefore provides the ideal opportunity to show the breadth of our products adapted to this exponential market, as we help our customers to Do Better by Dosing Better.”

Local impact: Berry's new Bangalore facility

A significant portion of the products to be showcased at CPHI India are manufactured at Berry’s factory and 'Center of Excellence' in Bangalore, India.

This facility contributes to local job creation and enhances regional and global access to advanced healthcare solutions.

The plastic packaging manufacturer said the site’s expanded production capacity supports the projected growth of Asia's domestic healthcare market.

Metaverse in the packaging sector

Many of the vital metaverse technologies are already being used or piloted by packaging companies, who have brought together AI, AR, VR, cloud, the IoT, and other technologies to monitor and maintain key assets remotely. The sector could also use immersive metaverse solutions to optimize packaging design and quality control—testing prototypes in a virtual world before bringing them to market. Another disruptive benefit of the metaverse will be using underlying blockchain and digital twin technologies to assist in creating more transparent and traceable supply chains.
