Better Earth, a sustainable foodservice packaging solutions provider, has introduced a new line of renewable plant fibre-based trays for catering events.
The line includes 120oz renewable fibre catering pans and secure lids for easy transport.
Free from per- and polyfluorinated substances (PFAS), the trays are naturally resistant to oil and moisture, offering leak and spillproof performance.
In addition, the new line is available in one- and two-compartment stock-keeping units, making them versatile for presenting various cuisines and ideal for any gathering size.
Better Earth's trays are not only microwave and freezer-safe but also fully compostable in commercial composting facilities, where they decompose into nutrient-rich soil.
In a statement, the company said: “These innovative trays represent a significant step forward in sustainable catering solutions provided by Better Earth, setting a new standard for excellence in the industry.
“These catering trays are poised to evolve event hosting with their exceptional performance and environmentally friendly design.”
The company will showcase the trays at the upcoming Natural Products Expo West, US, from 12 to 16 March 2024, at Booth #2980 Hall C.
Better Earth offers a full range of commercially compostable products, including bowls, plates, trays, and cutlery, among others.
The company claims to manufacture its product line entirely from sustainable materials such as sugarcane, bamboo, Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper, and biobased resins.
Earlier this month, Better Earth announced the expansion of its Farmer’s Fiber Collection with the addition of compostable clamshells.
