Better Earth, a provider of compostable foodservice packaging solutions, has launched its newTouch-Free Arrow Cutlery Dispenser and the accompanying Better Earth Arrow Cutlery Collection.
The company's Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI)-certified compostable CPLA cutlery adheres to ASTM D-6400 standards for compostability.
The new cutlery is claimed to be the first on the market to meet the BPI's labelling standards for commercial composability.
The dispenser is intended to enhance operational efficiency while promoting environmental responsibility across dining establishments.
Designed to support businesses in their sustainability efforts, the dispenser aligns with zero-waste programmes and aids compliance with single-use plastic bans.
Its handle-first features ensures that customers only touch the utensils they use, thus reducing contamination risks and maintaining hygiene standards.
The dispenser's design is both versatile and customisable, catering to the unique needs of various businesses by allowing the separate or combined dispensing of forks, knives, and spoons.
It is user-friendly and easy to refill, with instructions on the compostable cutlery bags, and can hold up to 300 units of cutlery, reducing the need for frequent refills and promoting responsible consumption.
Better Earth CEO Joseph Bild said: "Better Earth is proud to set a new standard in the industry with our BPI-certified compostable products.
"We are dedicated to providing solutions that exceed our commitment to sustainability, operational excellence, and reduce thousands of pounds of plastic waste from entering landfills every year."
The Better Earth Touch-Free Arrow Cutlery and dispenser are now available for a range of foodservice businesses, including fast-casual restaurants, cafeterias, and food courts.
