BiOrigin Specialty Products (BSP), a leading manufacturer of parent paper rolls, has significantly expanded its rewinding capabilities to better serve the food packaging industry.
The company recently installed a new Elite Cameron CS800 slitter rewinder at its Michigan, US, mill, nearly doubling its slitting and rewinding capacity.
Elite Cameron CS800 is equipped with advanced features such as a shaftless pick-up unwind and photosensor light curtains, enhancing both efficiency and safety.
The machine can run at speeds of up to 1,500ft per minute and handle web widths of up to 64in.
"Our food packaging customers value the new quality, versatility and speed of our new Elite Cameron rewinder," said Wade Kemnitz, BiOrigin Specialty Products' president and CEO.
"We can efficiently slit various coated and uncoated papers into narrow widths and diameters up to 32in - with a quick response time."
The Menominee-based mill is one of six BSP facilities across the US and Canada that specialises in producing waxed papers for food packaging applications.
The new rewinder will enable the mill to increase its output and better meet the growing demand for high-quality packaging materials.
"We're very happy to see another successful installation at BiOrigin Specialty Products," said Matt Chamberland, technical sales engineer for Elite Cameron.
"We're even happier to hear they have been able to increase their slitting and rewinding capacity since it's been installed! The machine is an excellent solution for narrow-width slitting and can also handle heavy rolls with larger diameters."
BSP's commitment to investing in state-of-the-art equipment demonstrates its dedication to providing exceptional products and services to its customers.
The company's expanded rewinding capacity positions it as a reliable and efficient partner for the food packaging industry.
