US-based manufacturer C-P Flexible Packaging has announced the launch of its new division, Intelligraphix Systems, for flexographic prepress services.

The new segment provides specialised platemaking, prepress, and colour management services.

This move is set to enhance precision and efficiency in the flexographic printing process.

Specifically, Intelligraphix Systems will offer art file optimisation, extended gamut preparation, press profiling, and advanced quality check systems.

The workflows developed by Intelligraphix Systems are designed to produce flat-top flexographic plates.

These plates are known for their ability to deliver whiter-brighter highlights and deep-rich mid-tones and shadows.

In addition, the system provides quick colour matching with minimal downtime.

C-P Graphics Operations senior director Michael DeAngelis said: "Backed by state-of-the-art prepress and platemaking platforms and our 3C iQuality System, our customer-focused team members are committed to preventing costly errors and providing unparalleled quality, prompt turnarounds and competitive pricing.

"Our team has decades of technical and press-side experience, ensuring that businesses can achieve printing goals without compromising on budget or timelines."

C-P, a portfolio company of First Atlantic Capital, manufactures flexible packaging for major consumer packaged goods companies in the US.

The company operates ten manufacturing plants across North America.

In 2022, it strengthened its converting capabilities by acquiring the privately held flexible packaging business Bass Flexible Packaging.
