Conner Industries, a provider of integrated protective packaging solutions and industrial wood crates and pallets, has expanded its Guardian Packaging facility in Dallas, Texas, US.
The expansion is in line with the company’s commitment to offer comprehensive solutions for protective packaging.
It also addresses the evolving demands of customers in the integrated transportation packaging market.
The expansion increases the facility's size by 53%, adding 100,000ft² of space.
This strategic move is set to boost production capacity in the Dallas/Fort Worth market while increasing efficiency, particularly for government and Department of Defense contracts.
Furthermore, the updated Guardian facility has newly acquired International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications for wood products, complementing its existing ISO9001 and AS9100 certifications.
These certifications cover a wide array of products, including corrugated and wood packaging inserts, missile cushioning, munitions packaging, crates, pallets, and aircraft foam components.
Conner Industries CEO David Dixon said: "The expansion of our Guardian Packaging facility is an important strategic development for Conner.
"Nearly doubling the size of our existing facility and earning ISO certification for wood products, in addition to our previous certification for foam, exemplifies Conner's commitment to broadening our integrated packaging offerings and becoming a major player in industrial, manufacturing, and military sectors as Conner continues to grow in the Dallas/Fort Worth market."
By combining Conner's wood expertise with Guardian's custom-cut foam packaging services for industries such as agriculture and aerospace, the facility is poised to provide complete solutions to current and new protective packaging customers.
