Domino Printing Sciences has launched its new 1200dpi digital print engine for integration into flexographic lines.
The new N730i Integration Module is designed to address the increasing demand for digital hybrid printing and finishing.
It enables label converters to offer high-resolution digital printing, including variable data applications.
The N730i Integration Module, which is based on Domino’s Generation 7 platform, delivers up to 1200dpi print at high speeds.
With this module, converters can work with the OEM partner of their choice and Domino to develop a customised digital hybrid printing and finishing solution to their preferred configuration.
Powered by the N730i print engine, the N730i Integration Module leverages Domino i-Tech features, BITSTARTM printhead technology, and proprietary thermoplastic polyolefin-free inks.
This enables producing fine details, including micro text and CJK characters.
According to Domino, the new technology delivers high-resolution print at up to 70m per minute across all colours.
In addition, the N730i’s Sunrise DFE provides instant inline RIP for labels featuring customisation and variable data.
Domino has launched the module on the Innovation Stage, booth 2043, today at Labelexpo Americas.
The event runs from today (10 September) until 12 September.
Domino digital colour product manager Michael Matthews said: “Brands are asking for high-quality labels at a fast turnaround, and we set out to provide converters with an industry-leading digital hybrid printing solution that would deliver a competitive edge.
“The modular approach of the N730i Integration Module helps converters create a cost-effective, futureproof printing and finishing line with an OEM partner of their choosing. We are pleased to be one of the few providers to offer this flexibility.”
In January this year, Domino Printing Sciences launched the Cx350i, a piezo inkjet printer intended for printing on secondary packaging.
