Eagle Flexible Packaging will construct a new $5m facility in Waupun Industrial Park located in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, US, for the expansion of its operations.
The expansion is scheduled to start in early 2025, after Waupun's elected officials approve a developer's agreement to sell city-owned land to the company.
City of Waupun Economic Development city administrator and director Kathy Schlieve said: “Eagle Flexible Packaging has made consistent investment in the City of Waupun, bringing employment opportunities for residents and supporting community nonprofits and events since opening.
“The proposed project is well aligned with city goals to continue diversifying our economic base through expansion of the Waupun Industrial Park and we welcome the opportunity to partner with Eagle Flexible Packaging as they undertake this expansion in Waupun.”
The planned facility is expected to be completed by late 2025 and will create 30 to 40 new jobs within two years of its completion.
Eagle Flexible Packaging COO Scott Deringer shared that the company's future plans include doubling the current workforce over the next five years to accommodate anticipated growth.
The company acquired a property at 1208 Wilson Drive in 2024, where it has already invested more than $3m. This includes facility improvements and the addition of advanced graphics equipment, setting the stage for further expansion in Waupun.
Founded in 1994, Eagle Flexible Packaging specialises in products such as preformed pouches and roll-fed film. The company has facilities in Batavia, Illinois, and Waupun. The Waupun site, operational since 2021, currently employs 65 people.
