Eco Flexibles, a UK-based company specialising in sustainable flexible packaging, has announced the opening of its new high-tech headquarters in the country.
The company stated that the new 40,000ft² facility in Northampton, England, indicates its commitment to strategic growth and technological investment.
It has made substantial investments in packaging press machinery and technology, which includes the installation of the Fujifilm Jet Press FP790.
This digital water-based inkjet press, designed for the flexible packaging market, is claimed to be the first of its kind to be installed outside Japan.
The new site also features enhanced slitting and laminating capabilities.
The move comes in response to the rapid growth of Eco Flexibles and the increasing global demand for its circularity-focused packaging solutions, including recyclable monopolymers and paper-based options.
Eco Flexibles director Simon Buswell said: “Eco Flexibles is a true packaging success story. Our approach to developing and delivering sustainable packaging and circularity has struck a chord with the retail market, and it soon became clear that we needed to scale up our operations and expand our team.
“The new facility is more than just a futuristic showcase to wow customers, it’s built to perform and is armed with the print and converting technology we need to constantly evolve our business."
