Froosh, the smoothie brand under Fazer, has introduced three new smoothies in 750ml cardboard packages.
The new packaging adopted by Froosh for its smoothie range is lightweight and easy to recycle, while also significantly reduces carbon footprint.
The cardboard packages are reported to have up to an 82% smaller carbon footprint compared to recyclable glass bottles of the same volume.
Additionally, they are 91% lighter than a same-size glass bottle, facilitating easier transportation for consumers.
Fazer's initiative aligns with its goal to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 42% by the end of 2030, relative to its 2020 levels.
The company has already transitioned its three functional smoothies from glass bottles to more sustainable carton packaging.
With the latest product launch, Froosh extends this eco-friendly packaging to its entire 750ml smoothie range.
The newly launched smoothies, designed particularly for breakfast consumption, are claimed to be made from 100% fruit and not from concentrate, with no added sugars content.
These products are now available in stores across Finland.
Froosh's offerings are also accessible in the Nordic countries, the Baltic states, Iceland, the Republic of Ireland, Germany, Slovakia, and Czechia.
Froosh brand manager Erika Jureskog said: “Smoothies are consumed as much at home as on the go. We wanted to offer consumers tasty and easy options for the breakfast table in practical and generous packages that serve the whole family.
“These Froosh novelties are a ready-made tasty breakfast option also for those mornings, when there’s no time for breakfast. And added vitamins never hurt us here in the North.”
