Graphic Packaging, a prominent player in consumer packaging, has announced the appointment of Mark Connelly as its senior vice-president (SVP) of Investor Strategy and Development.
The company said this strategic move is geared towards bolstering Graphic Packaging's global investor network, aligning with the company's vision of expansion and diversification.
Connelly, boasting more than 20 years of experience as a securities analyst and strategy consultant, will step into this role.
Reporting directly to Stephen Scherger, chief financial officer (CFO), he will collaborate closely with Melanie Skijus, the continued head of investor relations.
Underlining this announcement, Michael P Doss, president and CEO of Graphic Packaging, emphasised the company's evolution and expressed confidence in Connelly's ability to contribute significantly, stating: "In the past several years, we dramatically reshaped our company to offer a full spectrum of sustainable packaging for consumers' everyday needs, both at home and on the go.”
Connelly's track record in securities analysis and strategic consultancy has played a pivotal role in informing investors within the paper and packaging sectors.
Connelly acknowledged the rapid evolution and shifting of consumer preferences in a statement:
"The paper and packaging industries continue to evolve, while customer needs and consumer preferences are shifting faster than many appreciate. The implications for strategy and capital allocation make decisions increasingly more complex.
"I am both impressed and excited by the choices Graphic Packaging's leadership team is making and by the opportunity that creates for all our stakeholders."
