Temperature-controlled packaging solutions provider, Hydropac, has announced ice pack sealing technology designed to revolutionise pet food cold chain logistics.

Maintaining consistent temperatures during transportation is critical for preserving the nutritional value and freshness of pet food, especially for sensitive products.

Hydropac's new ice packs address this challenge by offering enhanced insulation, extended cooling duration, and superior leak resistance.

Breaking away from traditional designs

Conventional ice packs are typically manufactured as tubes filled with liquid coolant. These designs can suffer from uneven cooling, with certain areas becoming excessively cold while others remain warmer.

Additionally, traditional ice packs are prone to leaks and condensation, which can damage packaging and compromise product integrity.

Hydropac utilises a two-layer material construction sealed on all four sides.

This design allows for the creation of multiple internal pockets within each ice pack, enabling precise control over dimensions and ensuring consistent chilling throughout the pet food container.
